Carol Kwant
Carol was born again in 1976, and as a young believer, studied nursing at Addington Hospital.
After responding to the call to ministry, Carol joined Youth with a Mission, where she was part of the Discipleship Training School staff. She ministered with teams from as far afield as Germany, Cyprus, Israel and Lebanon.
It was here that she met Roelof, whom she later married in 1985. They subsequently had three children, Caressa, Jared and Bryce.
On route to The Barn, they pastored several churches. Carol now runs a weekly Life Group on Wednesday mornings, together with a monthly Wonder Womans' meeting. She is also actively involved in the day-to-day running of the ministry. ()
Promise Mtshizana
Promise is our ever-friendly and helpful Receptionist. She hails from Rustenburg.
She started working at The Barn after spending some time in Cape Town with the Dream Team - Miqlat where she completed a 3 year Bible Training Course from the Word of Truth Bible School.
She has a passion for Young People and is actively involved in the Youth, Young Adults Group and Worship Team at The Barn. ()
Deirdre Maritz
After giving her life to the Lord in Matric, Deirdre continued to persue the call of God on her life by leading Youth Groups and committing to a "Year of your Life" at YWAM.
She completed a B Prim Ed Degree at JCE before embarking on a teaching career. After 8 years of teaching Primary School learners, Deirdre is now the Children's Ministry Coordinator at The Barn.
Together with her husband Nick, Deirdre is involved in our Spiritual Development Leadership Group. They have a daughter, Elizabeth. ()
Natali Coetzee
Natali has recently finished her studies and is working at The Barn in an assistant role to the Children's Ministry department ().
Megan Evertse
Megan plays a vital role in our Operations Department and Missions. She gave her heart to the Lord in High School and ever since has been involved in the Church.
Megan joined The Barn team recently and oversees the administration of the operations department as well as the missions department. She has a BA Hons Industrial Psychology degree and is also developing the human resources department at The Barn ()
Stella van Ryneveld
Stella is our mother-figure, she takes care of all of us, be it through prayer, food or an encouraging note.
She is involved in our Intercessory Prayer Group. She works closely with the Pastoral Team and in many ways keeps the wheels turning in the various departments. ()
Annelize Hill
Annelize is our Accountant and has a true gifting in this area. She handles both the books for The Barn & Panda Pen Nursery School. She is also actively involved in our Caring Team and has a heart to help anyone in need. Annelize is married to Stuart, together they have 2 sons, Damien & Joshua. ()
Lucas Masemola
Lucas is our Ground's Manager, he and his team take care of our Maintenance, Gardens, Storage, Security - you name it ... they do it with very willing hearts. Lucas is an integral part of our Team and is very dependable. Lucas is married to Sheila, and they have 3 precious children, Mpho, Lucky & Lydia.
Simon Mbuyisa
Simon works alongside Lucas and together they are a dynamic duo. Simon is a gentle giant with a broad big smile! He is married to Patricia and they have 2 children, Christine and Siyabonga.
Patrick Manzini
Patrick heads up Bhukulani, which is one of our Outreaches to the unemployed. He is also involved in various Mission activities within our church and community, as well as being a part of our Leadership Team. Patrick is the proud father of 3 daughters, Gugulethu, Thandeka and Thandiswa.
David Klassen
David is a full-time freelance Musician - drummer & vocalist, in the South African Music Industry.
He is a part of our Leadership Team, as well as heading up our Music Ministry and has an absolute passion for worship. David is assisted by Brendan James.
He has a desire to help equip fellow Musicians and see orginal songs sung in church. David is married to Roxanne, they have a son, Jaeden. ()
Jared Kwant
Jared heads up our Youth Team, along with a committed & radical group of Leaders.
He is currently studying at the Baptist Theological College and is planning on going into the full-time ministry. ()
